We met through a mutual friend/cousin in January 2010.
Ryan had classes with Chalyce’s cousin, Jason. Jason, knowing the two of us well, asked each of us if we would be willing to meet the other and go on a date.
Chalyce decided to go with it and Ryan did not hesitate to say yes after seeing
a picture of Chalyce on facebook. So it cannot be
said that it was a true blind date since Ryan was sneaky and saw a picture first:)
It wasn’t hard falling in love with each other as we felt so comfortable with each other from day one. We felt like we had known each other forever. We love doing things with each other. it doesn’t matter what it is as long as we are together. We enjoy running, hiking, camping, watching movies, trying new restaurants, spending time with family, trying new recipes, and working together.
Knowing how well we work together, we decided to make something great of it! Ryan proposed to Chalyce on May 1, 2010 (the day Chalyce's cousin Jason and his wife, Julia, got married). We got married on August 6, 2010. We enjoyed a great day with family and friends and then went on our honeymoon to Kauai.
